Waterloo Buildings – Phases One and Two, Birkenhead The refurbishment of Grade 2 Listed buildings to create 27 flats and 4 commercial units for Riverside Housing Association Ltd.
 
Waterloo Buildings fall within the Hamilton Quarter and are situated on a prime site facing the Mersey.
 
The converted Listed buildings now provide on the upper floors, affordable housing within the lively area of Hamilton Square, close to the train station, shops and restaurants. New contemporary office accommodation is located on the ground floor.
 
The regeneration of significant buildings within the Hamilton Square Conservation area has required close consultation with the conservation officer and English Heritage.
 
Total project value £2.8 million.
