20 new apartments for Pierhead Housing Association on an urban infill site in a conservation area. The landmark building, with its pivotal 6-storey drum, is flanked by listed buildings and has been designed to take maximum advantage of the panoramic views over the Liverpool waterfront.

The conversion and extension of the former St. Winefride's Convent School, providing 14 homes.  Within Holywell's Conservation Area, the conversion included the careful restoration of external features.  The new extension is a modern intervention, but uses materials sympathetic to the original.

The redevelopment of the sites of post-war prefabs involves the provision of 550 new bungalows in a 5 year programme at a scheme cost of around £35 million. Full community consultation has taken place with every resident visited by the designers and development team.
 
 
glyntaff Estate Transfer, Glyntaff, Pontypridd
Estate transfer from a Local Authority to Cadarn Housing Group, with masterplanning, tenant participation, new-build and refurbishment in eight phases involving Ainsley Gommom over more than 10 years.  Additional new homes won a Welsh Housing Design Award in 1994 and later phases won a National Partnership Award in 1999.

An innovative urban regeneration scheme providing 56 new homes of mixed tenure.  Torfaen County Borough Council worked in partnership with Charter Housing Association, Lovell Partnerships and Ainsley Gommon Architects to redevelop this brown field site in the heart of the town centre.
