2011 Oswestry Civic Society Award		Primary Care Centre, Oswestry The Primary Care Centre in Oswestry has received a local Civic Society Award for the successful conversion of the former railway sheds into a state of the art medical facility.

2011 BREEAM Award Wales		Energy and Fabrication Centre, Coleg Menai The BREEAM Excellent Rated Energy Centre at Coleg Menai is one of seven projects in Wales to be awarded a Welsh BREEAM Award. The high performing building incorporates a number of low and zero carbon technologies including solar hot water panels, ground source heat pumps and rainwater harvesting.

2011 Action for Market Towns Award		Connah's Quay Civic Hall Sustainable Improvements The environmental improvements to Connah's Quay Civic Hall have received a Commendation in the Environment and Culture category of the Wales Action for Market Towns Awards.

2011 LABC Cymru All Wales Award for Building Excellence		Llys Y Coed Extra Care The innovative Extra Care scheme in Llanfairfechan was awarded the All Wales Award for Building Excellence in the Best Social / Affordable Housing Development Category.

2011 LABC Cymru Regional Award for Building Excellence		Heol Glyndwr, Wrexham This development of five 3 bedroom houses and a specially designed wheelchair bungalow in Wrexham for Wales and West Housing Association has been awarded the Best Social / Affordable Housing Project in Wrexham.

2011 Green Apple National Bronze Award		Connah's Quay Civic Hall Sustainable Improvements The sustainable refurbishment of Connah's Quay Civic Hall has been recognised by a National Bronze Award in the 2011 Green Apple Awards for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage. The improvements, which have raised the Energy Performance Rating of the 1960's building from an 'F' to a 'C' rating, were recognised at the Presentation Ceremony at the University of Westminster.

2010 LABC Cymru Regional Award for Building Excellence		School Lane, Greenfield This development of 14 apartments and 5 wheelchair bungalows on the site of a former school in Greenfield for Wales and West Housing Association has been awarded the Best Social or Affordable Housing Development in Flintshire.

2010 LABC Cymru Regional Award for Building Excellence		Colliery Road, Chirk This scheme of seven bungalows for Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd in Chirk was awarded the Best Social or Affordable Housing Development in Wrexham. The judges stated: "The proposed plans had to include styles which were sympathetic to the surrounding buildings and the architect was keen in various liaisons with Planning and Building Control to ensure that this happened."

2010 LABC Cymru Regional Award for Building Excellence		Gorwel Newydd Extra Care The Extra Care Scheme in Rhyl comprising of 59 apartments and communal care facilities was awarded the Best Social / Affordable Housing Development in North Wales, following on from success in the Denbighshire category. The judging panel stated: "An excellent working relationship with Building Control was established with both the design team and the contractor from an early stage."

2010 LABC Cymru Regional Award for Building Excellence		Playford Crescent, Ringland, Newport This scheme of 32 new homes on a challenging brownfield site has been awarded the "Best New Housing Scheme of more than ten units" within the Newport area. The citation from the judging panel states: ..... "This development set in the Ringland area of Newport comprises of an assortment of dwellings constructed to a very high standard."

2010 Green Apple Gold Award		Learning Pathway Centre, Deeside College The Learning Pathway Centre at Deeside College was awarded a Welsh National Gold Award at the Prize Giving Ceremony at the Tower of London.

2009 RICS North West Award Building Restoration		Birkenhead Park Restoration The Birkenhead Park Restoration project was Highly Commended in the Building Restoration category. Works were undertaken to improve the quality of the entire park and included Ainsley Gommon's new Visitor Centre Pavillion.

2009 Green Apple Silver Award		Holywell Textile Mill The conversion of the former Textile Mill shop in Holywell into a Community Arts and Crafts Centre was awarded a Green Apple Silver Award for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage.

2008 RTPI North West & White Young Green Planning Achievement Award		Birkenhead Park Restoration Ainsley Gommon designed the new Pavillion as part of the wider restoration of Birkenhead Park. The new building includes a visitor centre, exhibition space, cafe and offices.

2008 Liverpool Daily Post Regional Property Award		Liverpool Habitat for Humanity The scheme of new houses in Toxteth, Liverpool designed to be built largely by volunteer labour was awarded the "Residential Development of the Year."

2008 Liverpool Daily Post Regional Property Award		Birkenhead YMCA The YMCA Hostel accommodation and community facilities was awarded the Best Partnership Project at the Liverpool Daily Post Regional Property Awards. The scheme which provides 56 ensuite bedrooms, conference suite, IT training suite, cyber cafe and support offices was also shortlisted for the Residential Development of the Year.

2008 Green Apple National Silver Award		Birkenhead Park Restoration The Birkenhead Park Restoration project won the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage Parks and Open Spaces National Silver Award.

2008 Housebuilding Innovation Award		Liverpool Habitat for Humanity The Liverpool Habitat for Humanity housing scheme was awarded the "Best Initiative to Aid First Time Buyers / Key Workers" at the Housebuilding Innovation Awards organised by Housebuilder magazine and the Home Builders Federation in association with NHBC (National House-Building Council). The judges said: "Liverpool Habitat for Humanity’s ‘sweat equity’ scheme was praised for its imaginativeness."

2007 Strictly Regeneration Award		Triangles Group Repair Scheme, Birkenhead This scheme of phased external improvements enhanced a group of 450 privately owned residential properties in Birkenhead and was awarded the "New Heartlands Champions Award". Since completion of the works, property prices within the area increased by 50%, the neighbourhood is cleaner and the community is more confident.

2005 Civic Trust Awards Mention		Drybridge Gardens, Monmouth A sustainable development for Fairlake Properties providing independent living for six people with severe disabilities. The Civic Trust Award Mention reads: "Residents' representatives from this independent living accommodation unit were engaged in the development of the project, successfully incorporating their needs, such as intimate external areas, into the design."

2005 Civic Trust Awards Mention		Plas Gwenfrewi, Holywell The conversion and extension of the former St. Winefride's Convent School within Holywell's Conservation Area, providing 14 homes for Wales & West Housing Association. The Civic Trust Mention reads: "This conversion of a listed building into eight bespoke flats for affordable housing has excellent detailing throughout, including the careful use of lime render and refurbishment of the original fenestration."

2005 LABC Built In Quality Award		New Homes, Ridgeway, Newport A Local Authority Building Control "Built-In Quality" Award nominated by Newport City Council for a phase of the redevelopment of the former prefab estates in Newport, South Wales for Newport Housing Trust and Fairlake Properties.

2004 RSAW Housing Design Award		Drybridge Gardens, Monmouth A sustainable development for Fairlake Properties providing independent living for six people with severe disabilities. "The assessors felt that this tackled the challenge of meeting the very particular needs of the six residents with severe disabilities with some style."

2004 Jaguar Community Project of the Year		The Clock for Plus Housing Also winner of the Lord Winstanley Changing Places Award

2001 Merseyside 21 Awards		Wirral Methodist Housing Association A complex mixture of new build and refurbishment, residential and commercial that won Wirral Methodist Housing Association this National Award for having done most to encourage the improvement of homes

2000 Merseyside Awards for Architecture and Urban Design		Waterloo Buildings, Birkenhead Oliveri's Waterloo Buildings, Birkenhead a prominent Grade 2 Listed building, for Riverside Housing Association. Commended as the 'best example of refurbished development in Wirral'.

2000 40th Anniversary Civic Trust Awards Mention		Willowbrook Hospice, St Helens Providing palliative care for terminally ill patients within the St Helens and Knowsley areas the hospice was described as 'a worthy contribution to the community'

1999 National Partnership Award		Glyntaff Farm Estate, Pontypridd Highly Commended - National Partnership Award from the National Council for Housing & Planning for Glyntaff Farm Estate, for Newydd Housing Association. The award recognised the contribution of the whole Partnering Team to the project.

1995 RIBA Housing Design Award		'Aquarius' 165 dwellings in Hulme 'Aquarius' 165 dwellings for the Guinness Trust in Hulme, Manchester. The citation concludes "Impressive....the tenants are obviously delighted."

1995 Civic Society Award		Hope House Children's Hospice, Oswestry Oswestry & District Civic Society Award for the design of Hope House Children's Respite Hospice.

1995 Civic Society Award		Conservation of Newt Pond, Oswestry Oswestry & District Civic Society Award for the conservation and enhancement of the habitat of Great Crested Newts in a natural pond within a housing development in Oswestry, Shropshire.

1995 RIBA Sponsored Ideas Competition		Chavasse Park Zone, Liverpool Masterplan for the redevelopment of 75,000 square metres of central Liverpool, joint winners of this national RIBA sponsored competition.

1994 RSAW Welsh Housing Project Award		47 new homes, Glyntaff Farm, Pontypridd RSAW Welsh Housing Project Award for the design of a new build scheme of 47 homes on Glyntaff Farm Estate for Newydd Housing Association.

1994 Design Competition Winner		Wood Design College, Northern Ireland Competition for design of a Wood Technology College in Pomeroy, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

1993 Street Design Awards		Park adjacent to a Church, Upholland Commendation for a park adjacent to the Church of St Thomas The Martyr, Upholland for West Lancashire District Council. The judges citation "a green space with a different character which provides a dignified accompaniment for surrounding historic buildings. It is a significant achievement".

1992 Waltham Forest Design Award		Family housing, New Road, London Commendation for Sheltered and family housing, Larkswood, New Road, London.

1991 Civic Trust Commendation		Flats for the Elderly, Liverpool 9 Flats for Co-operative Schemes for the Elderly created from the ruined shell of a Victorian villa, Liverpool.

1988 Welsh National Eisteddfod Architecture Prize		Heritage Museum, Newport, South Wales Design for a Heritage Museum in Newport. The design was illustrated in the Architects Journal, September 1988, and was exhibited at the National Design Museum, June 1989.

1987 Times / RIBA Enterprise Scheme Award		Shorefields Housing Co-operative "Shorefields Village" 46 houses for the Shorefields Housing Co-operative. The judges citation concluded "in short an excellent scheme, which it is clear is a pleasure to all".

1987 Civic Trust Commendation		Private House, Wirral A private house in a conservation area next to the village church.

1986 Times / RIBA Enterprise Scheme Award		Community Work Centre A low budget conversion of a redundant school of art to a Community Work Centre. Award presentation by HRH Prince Charles.

1985 Royal Town Planning Institute Commendation		Newland Court, Liverpool Newland Court, 40 houses and flats for the Hesketh Street Housing Co-operative.

1985 International Garden Festival Gold Medal		Best Home Garden "The best home garden" at the International Garden Festival. Designed for the Abbey National Building Society.

1984 Housing Centre Trust Jubilee Award		Newland Court, Liverpool Newland Court, 40 houses and flats for the Hesketh Street Housing Co-operative. Featured in the Architects Journal, July 1984.
