Ainsley Gommon Architects at the Centre for Alternative Technology, May 2007. As part of Ainsley Gommon Architects drive to offer the best possible service to its clients, the Practice has achieved BS8555 Part 3 accreditation, under the Acorn Scheme, for its Environmental Management System . We believe that we are among the first Practices in Wales and the North West of England to achieve this. Our ambition is to achieve ISO 14001 accreditation as the next stage in our programme to become a leader in environmental and sustainable practice in our profession. We believe that it is necessary to have good environmental house keeping standards in place before advising clients on the significance of adopting sustainable practice and designing for climate change. Ainsley Gommon’s Environmental Management System has been developed with training by White Young Green supported by grant assistance from GME, Greater Merseyside Enterprise. Training for BS 8555 began March 2007, coordinated by an EMS Focus Group team from each office lead by a director. The UKAS accredited inspection was carried out by VCA on 4 October 2007. |
