| 06 June 2005 Sponsored Cycle Ride a Success We reported in April 2005 that David Ainsley was cycling from Liverpool to Paris to raise money for the education of children of the Masai tribes in east Africa. The trip was a great success and through much wonderful generosity this ride will raise about £2,500, which will provide about twenty five years schooling for children who otherwise might not get a basic education. | 09 May 2005 Civic Trust Awards 2005 Two projects by Ainsley Gommon Architects have achieved recognition from the Civic Trust. Dry Bridge Gardens in Monmouth, which won a Welsh Housing Design Award in 2004 and Plas Gwenfrewi in Holywell, have each received Mentions in the Civic Trust 2005. | 03 May 2005 Building For Life, Wales The conversion and extension of the former St. Winefride's Convent School into flats has been selected by the Design Commission for Wales for the Building for Life, Wales website. The development, now named Plas Gwenfrewi, has been chosen along with another Ainsley Gommon Architects' project, Dry Bridge Gardens, as an exemplar housing project.
